Holistic therapies can assist you in the pursuit of a healthier, more balanced life style....
There are plenty of therapies to choose from, and many can be combined with essential oils to give that extra edge. As an Aromatherapist, I can prescribe essential oils to treat a wide range of physical & emotional conditions, as well as creating blends to lift the spirit.
The wide ranging benefits of essential oils are too numerous to list. It is probably true to say that whatever ails you, there really is an essential oil to suit.......
I have compiled a list of some of the more well known benefits:
- Aid detoxification
- Boost the immune system
- Aid digestive conditions, i.e. irritable bowel
- Lift the spirit
- Assist mental focus
- Ease muscular aches & pains
- Ease nerve pain
- Assist clearing of sinus congestion
- Curb the appetite
- Tighten & tone slack skin
- Boost the circulation
- Lower blood pressure
- Soothe & calm
- Aid relaxation
- Improve sleep
Our well-being is dependent upon many factors
Our hectic lifestyles means that we rarely switch off & relax....
We are always trying to fit in the extra thing that we feel we ought to be able to do. This pattern is not conducive to good health, and eventually our bodies cry out under the strain of it all. This is when illness occurs.
Their sensible attitude also means that they see this as necessary to their well-being, and they rest & relax afterwards, unlike us in the UK, who tend to rush around trying to make up time for the odd hour or so that we have had out!
Taking the time to relax & have a treatment is taking a positive step towards improving your own health & well-being. Many therapies facilitate the relaxing of overly tight, tense & tired muscles, and all therapies facilitate your body towards a state of balance.
There are many different therapies & all are designed to help you take time out and relax from your hectic schedule. Certain therapies can target specific health concerns. If you have particular health concerns, you may like to discuss which therapy would be the most appropriate for you at the time of booking. In some instances it may be necessary to check with your GP before having a therapy.
Zest 4 Life offers you the opportunity to experience a wide variety of therapies in a safe & chemically-free environment at Frampton Cotterell, near Bristol.

WORKING HOLISTICALLY
I work holistically, and tend to tailor my treatments to suit each client. For example, when doing ear candling, I usually follow this with a facial lymphatic & sinus drainage massage, often incorporating Ear Reflexology. I can then show you how you can continue the benefits & aid sinus drainage by working certain reflex points on your hands.
When I am doing a body massage, if the shoulders or sacrum are particularly tight or restricted, I may use neuro-muscular techniques, or sacral release to free these areas up. Most massage treatments that I do will also involve an element of passive & resisted (PNF) stretching.
By working in this manner, I am able to do more to improve your well-being, and can bring ease to long-term & chronic conditions, as well as relieving acute problems such as strained muscles.
